sslevo, are you still in Wisconsin? What is your current beater for the winter? I had my evo x in Whitewater and it was good for about 99% of the winter, there was the occasion 2-3 times where the evo's clearance just wasn't enough for the Wisconsin winters though and I would take the 4runner in to work. I suppose that in Milwaukee they are probably pretty good about getting everything off of the roads. If I was still living in WI I think I know which way I would go on this one, evo.

sslevo, I had a similar issue though my vette was a C5 Z06 not the newer C6's. I found myself stuck in the wonderful vacation area of Great Falls MT and refused to even pull the vette out of the garage once winter started. I ended up purchasing a pure junker to roll around in for the winter. Sold the vette a few years later and bought the evo as a replacement and though I wouldn't hesitate to drive the evo in MT winter conditions I certainly would not have abandoned the vette for that reason alone.

Funny, same situation here in Colorado. Evo will be used for most of the year, 4runner for when it's really ugly.

Don't have a winter beater yet, if i keep it i'll be picking up something in the next few months. I am kind of holding off in case i do get into an evo. Although if i go that way i'll need some snow tires for the thing, lol. I really liked my SSL VIII so maybe i'll just save some cash and buy another 8-9...

That's why I went with an EVO X. I would have had to sell my VIII to afford the vette. The Z06 is still on my "list" but will have to wait.

The Evo X kills it in the snow and I would think you wouldn't have a big problem making the switch.

Do you track your Corvette?

How often are you using all of the available 400 horses?

I know damn well I use every bit of my power on a daily basis. 400whp is a good number for a DD, but 400bhp really isn't that much nowadays.

I haven't tracked it yet but i was planning on it, i use all 400 hp every time i drive it, lol. I had my evo 8 on the track 3-4 times in the 1.5 years i owned it.

With that said i drove an 2011 GSR and MR tonight. I didn't care for the SST but i did like the gsr a lot. i think i'm going to do it!!!
