Intake fan sheild for Cobb
Sounds good I need one also as this is my first Spring/Summer with it. The mornings on the way to work when it's in the 40s has been awesome, but coming home in 80 degree stop-n-go sucks when I get the chance to break out of traffic and romp on it, only to feel the complete lack of punch. 20 miles and 40 minutes later when I get home, the intakes filter is piping hot.
MAP seems to have removed the heat shield from their website. I don't even see it offered with their intake. They'd probably still fabricate these if there was enough interest.
I found the intake and shield combo still offered on DSG's website... there is a disclaimer that the shield will NOT work with the Cobb Hard Pipe kit. So that sucks for me.
Guess I'll have to go another route.

Was at MOD 2012 at Don Herring Irving, TX. Cobb was there and had a prototype box enclosed intake. The intake is the same they just built a box for it. The guy said he thought it would sell for around 160.00. They just need to do some more testing before releasing.
If anyone ends up getting a Cobb Airbox, please post and share!
I'm going to e-mail Cobb once I'm ready to get my SF intake and see what the results are..
see if they can include it with my intake..
