Tow Hook License Plate Mount?
Hey everyone. So luckily the dealership didn't drill holes into my bumper and I haven't mounted my front license plate. I live in MD, and unfortunately we have to run front plates and I know its only a matter of time before I get pulled over for not having a plate in the front.
I read through a few different forums and it seems like there is nothing that lets us mount the plate in our tow hook. Is the only way to mount there, to drill into the crash bar? Does the 2011 Evo X still not have a hole for the tow hook?
I REALLY don't want to have to drill into the bumper / zip tie it and cover any of the IC.
Thanks.

Is your plate holder straight like the one in the back? I got mine from texas where you have to have it in the front but not in AR. I got lucky and the dealer didnt drill my bumper but they did give me a plate holder for the front. You can actually just use 3m double sided tape instead of drilling it.
There was a post a week ago or so of someone just using 3m instead of drilling and apparently it works, even at high speeds.

I know it's crappy drilling into the bumper. but assuming the dealership gave you the OEM mount for it. why not mount it. it's required to be there, and you aren't going to remove it once it's installed right?
I understand the hesitation drilling into the bumper. and I'm in Florida so I don't have to use a front mount. There are other retractable under bumper mounts I've seen... but from everything I've seen, just using the OEM mount is the cleanest looking mount.

I'll refer you to my old post about my situation.

It does involve two little holes underneath a lip of the bumper, but I think it looks good and clean.

I wasn't even given the OEM mount, which is why I was looking into other solutions. I also just got a clearbra installed, so I am even less inclined to do any drilling. I would contact JM Fab if I had the money to get that done. I'll think on it for a bit. I probably won't do anything until I get a warning for it.
Does ziptieing it in the middle block enough airflow to be detrimental to performancE?
