I believe that this is a known problem and there may even be a TSB out for it. I would check with your dealership to verify you have the latest fuel pump relays installed as that is most likely the culprit.

Ya 2 seconds seems long. Just tested mine, the engine turns over maybe twice and starts. Elapsed time is less than 1 second.

Is there a tsb for this? I searched the nhtsa but nothing really about the start up. Mine actually drains the battery and almost every 2 weeks my car won't start. I had to get it jump.

My '11 GSR takes about 3 turns before it starts... seems to line up with most people. It's not as fast some a lot of these newer electronic starters cars have.

My car is brand new 2 mths old. I can tell that the car sometimes does not turn on as fast. It takes a couple of seconds. Taking it the dealer.

Yeah, I've noticed my SE is kinda slow to start, even since new. But it seems to crank-over just fine. Once and awhile, immediately after the engine starts, it runs rough for about 1-2sec, then the rpms rise and it smooths out. Already upgraded the relays. Only mod is cat-back. Hasn't been a real prob yet, so I just live with it....eh
