Do yourself a favor: keep it.
Having a paid off car is a huge advantage and the "would be payments" can be used toward all those extra bells and whistles that you want.
Think about it in a rational way rather than emotional.
You will thank me in the morning.

so what do i do keep it or get the new one?
At the risk of stating the brutally obvious, all depend on how much these things mean to you. Personally, I need a USB port like I need a third nipple, I don't even know what rear park assist is, economy mode in my car is an oxymoron and perhaps even an outright insult, a moon roof mean the deletion of the aluminum roof, so that's a totally moot point and on and on. As you can see, I'd vote for keeping the '08. Good luck.

Heres some of the main reasons I dont want to keep the 08':

1.some drunk idiot backed into it almost 1 week after i bought the car and now the front bumper and fender dont match the original paint.
2. white looks so much nicer
3. i like the new display a lot better ( if i could get the new display on my 08' i'de probably keep it).
4. i hate the fact that i know my car isnt in perfect condition because of the accident
5. im guessing the 2012 is the very last year for the evo x, and it'd be cool to have an evo of the final year they made it.
6. i have to get the 30k service done soon
7. I want a glossy white car, but idk if i'll be satisfied with a white vinyl wrap for my red car

why didn't you just have the body shop fix the paint if it didn't match?

the new cluster can be put into the car, the dealer needs to reflash or something to make it work, search for it.

you'll have to eventually get the 30k mile service on the new car, not only that but you'll have a bigger loan.

everyone said the '11 was the last year, no one knows when it will be except for mitsubishi lol

if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket, pay for a nice paint job and call it a day, it will probably last longer than the awesome mitsu paint.

On that note, if you have the money to splurge and the purchase won't hurt your wallet or cause you to stress about payments, then i say go ahead and do it (not a wise financial move but hey..).

Besides, Red with carbon fiber when not overdone looks so damn good.

Totally!

Track it. Use it. Mod it. Everything you mentioned is mostly cosmetics. Once you've actually USED the car, you'll have more fun modding it.

Check out ArchieBabes Red EVO X...Red can look just as good.

It's not a ferrari-like exotics, and basically 08 and 2012 look the same. I wouldn't do it. If 15000 means little to you, do it.

Think about it with a different perspective, OP is stimulating the US economy. Way to go!

If you want luxuries then you probably should get something else. Get like a G37 or something..

By the way you keep posting it seems like your trying to somehow justify the purchase for a 2012. If your already set on trying to buy it, why keep posting? Just do it.

all that stuff you listed... are you sure the Evo is the right type of car for you??? seems like you'd be better off with a luxury car.
