Need Some Help

So apparently I am the luckiest guy in the world (sarcasm). I just get my car washed and detailed and head back to my hotel. I am in my room maybe an hour or 2. I go back outside to my car to see my car has been run into and gashed all along the rear passenger side with a little gash on the front passenger door. Of course the person never left a note and the hotel doesn't have cameras in their parking lots. My guess is i'm going to need a new rear quarter panel, new rear and front passenger door shells ,new right side skirt, and new wheels (rashed). I know a guy that has built and painted cars for me before so I am going to recommend him to my insurance company, but the question is does anyone know of any quality sites that have OEM parts for decent prices? And from what I've read its hard to match Mitsu's OEM colors? Not sure if that's true or not.

Go to a high-end body shop, insurance will pay, no reason to use some guy... Request all new Mitsu parts. I've never had a quality shop have issues matching paint, if they can't match it take it to a shop that actually knows what they're doing.

I am more than likely going to end up going to some high end place but I just don't want it to take forever you know? And why wouldn't insurance pay for a whole new quarter install? Its more than just a little dent and missing paint.

Ya idk, I don't think so man. The quarter panel itself is around $500 and it's not all that hard to remove and install. Like stated above insurance will pay for it, that's what its for and a quality shop isn't going to cut corners especially if they warranty their work.

Brass, you are wrong. That's why you take it to a good shop that won't cut corners.

I'm assuming someone was backing out and cut the wheel to soon and ran their car along yours.

Keep us updated, Im curious if your ins will cover a replacement.

I wouldn't call body filler cutting corners tho. Its an accepted repair practice and can be done right., but I wouldn't want any n my car. Lol. Good luck.

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear this bro. When my Civic Si was rear ended, I took it to Luther Hopkins Honda. They used genuine Honda parts and when done, you could never tell the car had ever been in an accident. Honda paint is pretty crappy like Mitsu's, but a good body shop should be able to color match. Make sure to get genuine Mitsu parts. If you were in the Cities, I would recommend LaMettry's. Again, I am really sorry to hear this, especially on Christmas Eve. BTW, where are you staying?

You have the right to take it to a shop of your choice. Make sure it someone you trust and that does quality work. Sorry to hear about the bad luck!

I'm way out in Minot right now but I'm going to get all the work done in Fargo. The worst part is that I also park in the back corner of the lot away from everyone else and I'm the one to get hit?
