Better than the 6-speed manual in an X FQ-400? (I'm not trolling. This is a real question. I've never even laid eyes on an X FQ-400, so I have no idea - I live in Iowa, for Pete's sake - but I've seen write-ups that say it's the best Mitsu tranny evah!)

My car wont be coming out until end of march, possibly april. Honestly, they feel a little more refined than an evo 8 or 9. If it means anything to you I bought my 2011 without ever even driving a X beforehand. I will never sell that car

Best I've ever driven, which includes a lot of stock and built DSM's, Evos, etc. Jack's Transmission also states it's the best Mitsu tranny.

If you're breaking any drivetrain components on a bolt-on daily driver you should revise the way you drive.
This.

Visit jacks transmission page and see what they have to say about the X transmission. Spoiler...they reiterate that it is the best transmission Mitsu has had to date.

Superb post Chris. The X transmission is a very stout piece. Breaking one with the hp the OP has in mind would only happen because the driver does not know how to shift.
