Can't get car into gear. Any ideas?

So I hop in the car just now to run to the store and I can't get the car into any gear. With the car off I was able to get it into reverse and half-way into other gears, but not all the way. I don't want to try and force it out of fear I'll do damage to the synchros. I had a bad feeling something like this was going to happen after I got low rpm lockout yesterday a few times.

The car is an 06' IX GSR with a BBK and bolt ons. The clutch (Works II), flywheel (Works), and tranny rebuild (Works Stage II-same specs as TRE) both have around 25-30k on them with no launches or track days. Honestly I've babied this car the past couple years.

Little history on the transmission- It was rebuilt not because of abuse, but because a mechanic left my drain plug out. I was getting a 5th gear grind, so the shop offered me a new oem tranny or free labor on a rebuild. After I got the car back, it would randomly pop out of first gear. At this point I had moved 800 miles from Works, so they shipped another rebuilt tranny to a nearby dealership for me. Since then I haven't had any issues until now.

I'm waiting on a call back from Works to see if they can help diagnose the issue, but I'd like to hear what the board has to say.

Thanks guys

Works suggested checking the shifter cables under the hood to see if they're bent or broken. I just checked and they look fine to me

It's getting flat bedded to the dealership tomorrow. It should be covered under my extended warranty unless they try and say my mods caused the problem. Which they'll probably do haha

if you put the car into reverse with the engine off and hold the clutch in and start the car does it try to move as you try to start it?

Any chance you checked to see if you have any fluid in your clutch reservoir?

That happened to my car... it was shifting fine, but slowly started getting worse. Went to the local garage and they looked under the hood while I shifted, so he could see my shifter linkage. He said it looked really loose. There is a bracket holding the shifter linkage to your block, or transmission I forget which one. Either way, he tightened up that bolt on the bracket and it shifted perfect again!!! Try finding that bracket and making sure it is tight!

If not.... do a clutch engagement test...

I had the same problem with my 06 gsr. I thought it was gonna ha an expensive fix but fortunately it was only a small bracket on the side of the transmission that had broken off completely. The dealership replaced the bracket and now it's as good as new.

Seriously look at this first ^^ cheapest and easiest problem. And it is severe... my car would not go into reverse... I almost had to push it backwards out of the parking spot in neutral, but luckily I saw this problem.
