2011 Evo X Launch Control?

Is there launch control in 2011 evo GSR's??

I know on 9's and such you just put it in first gear and floor it and the launch control activates and keeps the revs at like 5k so is it the same case with these evo x's?

Thanks guys.

On the SE/MR, full AYC off, mash brake and gas, it will sit and hold until you release the brake.

Don't know about the GSR, but I don't believe so.

they're being serious, it doesn't let you rev over 5500 rpm, but its not launch control on the GSR's, its there to prevent idiots from launching at 7600 rpm

So don't use it as launch control?

And what is wrong with launching at redline? I come from owning a subaru and my best launches were when i would mash the pedal then let go repeatedly, which would lead me to get to very high revs but I would have much more boost off the line, got some of my best times doing that.

its good for fast times but bad for your transmission... the STi tranny can take much more abuse than the evo tranny can... although other than the diff pins I haven't heard of anyone breaking a tranny in a X...

I'm not gonna tell you how to drive your car, but if you do rev limiter clutch dumps all the time something's gonna break...
