OK I drove it until empty and filled it up with 93 for sure. I drove it empty again this weekend and have filled it up with 93. It's still hesitating, but it seems to be to a lesser extent. It's most certainly not driving right, though.

There are no tuners nearby that I know of. What else can I check on my own that is cheap? Could it be the spark plug coils/wires? I've had a few people suggest that.

Also, could it be a faulty fuel pump relay? I see a lot of people have this problem with the first lot of Evo Xs: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17957

For the fuel pump relay just switch it with the high beam relay and see.

I just did this and..............................MOTHER OF GOD SWEET TURBO!!!!!!!!! LOL

The high beams don't work half the time now, and the car is back to pit viper raging bull status. I forgot how fast this bastard is hahahaha. Thank you so much for the tip. I got a new relay on the way -- should be here tomorrow.

Haha... I swear I was going to say the relay!! I actually just got an evo x after comming home from overseas and it kinda felt like a turd but it was a hell of a price, I drove that f'er for more than six months not truely knowing what I was missing, WOW... a relay and BAM... where the F did that come from, oh the fuel pump at full power... haha I have no idea why it doesn't flash a CEL for low fuel voltage?

Congrats on your fix!

Kudos to Evom... Again!
