Functional front and rear tow hooks???

Is there a functional tow hook for the X without using the JDM crash beam??? I don't want to worry about tearing off the front end.
Also is there a functional tow hook for the rear with dual exhaust? I've searched and gotten very mixed answers.
Thanks for any help guys!!!

Sure, but it requires a little work. You can remove the front bumper, drill a hole in the bumper and install a threaded plate inside and just screw in the tow hook.

With the rear you can do the same thing or use the frame hook locations (what I did). I think Beatrush or someone makes one already. but if the hook is on the passenger side of the car, it can be fashioned not to interfere with the exhaust.

there is a local (to me) vendor that sells modified crash beams as described by the poster above. it's even a core program so you can send in your crash beam as a core.

pm me if you need details.

That's a nice idea, especially if they put in the backing plate and welded nut. The pain then is simply pulling the bumper(s) off.

Good question. I don't think so, I had understood they were just drilled for tow hooks.

Drilling the stock crash beam was really easy, but if you have the extra cash to afford the jdm floss, take that route.

We've done some work for a company that is considering making a rear tow hook that would install below the bumper next to the exhaust pipe. LMK if you have some interest.
