Slow evo
Slow evo
I'm currently untuned and it blows. My evo feels so sluggish. Part of this i'm sure is due to the fact that I'm used to my car and I'm not going WOT but I need a little reassurance. Does getting it tuned make a noticeable difference?
a stock setup with a tune is enough to make you smile from what i hear.. but both times, i went full tbe and intake and ic piping and tune and boy does it wake the car up....but im pretty used to it again now so im looking at turbo upgrades
Yup, the car is a dog stock.
Tune and a few supporting mods really wake it up.
These things should come with 375-400hp at the engine stock imo.
For what it's worth, with the mods I have I'm absolutely dead even with a stock 2011 Mustang GT from a roll till the end of 5th gear, which is pretty decent imo.
From a dig its a total slaughter, hehe.
We have a 1 mile old abandoned air strip near us that we can play on, which makes for some good fun on the weekends.

Same with me. I have not really been impressed with the overall acceleration to the Evo X in stock form. It sucks because we dont really have good selections for tuning shops here in SA TX. There is one but I simply dont trust them. I was thinking about the Cobb AP tune but I'm still on the fence if its going to be worth the money.
I know some bolt-ons can also help but Im not wanting to void or risk voiding my warranty on my brand new $35k+ car. Just wish Mitsu would have tuned better and added some of these simple bolt ons themselves. Eitherway the car is still fun to drive. Just wish it had a little more to offer in stock form or Mitsu wasnt such a *itch about honoring warranties

My Evo seems to go back and forth. Somedays it seems fast and others seem like it doesn't want to go anywhere. I'm looking for a good place to get a dyno tune myself. FedEx dropped my new turbo off last Saturday so I need to find one fast so I can install this thing!!
