well I was making around 400 hp. The car is down now and is currently getting a built 2.0 motor put in it. Will be going with a bigger turbo and fuel upgrade and plan on making 600-650 hp.

IMO I'd go ahead and upgrade the CMC for the 600-650awhp with that clutch. Extra security in knowing that my clutch pedal won't stick to the floor because it failed.

It's really the added resistance of the pressure plate that kills the stock CMC. I'd suggest the AMS CMC. My shop had some trouble with the Magnus. And the numbers you want to concern yourself with when dealing with the clutch is torque, not horsepower. I bought my upgrades from MAP - hands down the best customer service I've had the pleasure of dealing with.

^ what he said, with one disagreement. I don't think that the torque (or HP) is what you should think about. Instead, it's the throw of the slave and the force required to actuate the clutch. If more throw is involved, then you might want a larger master, so that pedal distance doesn't increase so much. If more force is required, then you might want a smaller master or just a master with better seals.

I agree.

The stage 4 6 puck he's using has a higher pedal pressure that I think could cause some minor issues with the OEM CMC in the long run due to the harsher engagement of the 6 puck.

The AMS CMC upgrade uses an OEM Evo VIII/IX CMC. The only real question I have is how much can the OEM Evo X CMC hold even with the AMS reinforcement ring? Personally, I'd rather solve the problem with the new AMS CMC kit than just use the reinforcement ring. At this point I'd think of it as putting a longer fuse on a bomb instead of disarming it. That's just my "better safe than sorry" mentality speaking, though.

I love AMS products but I think it's crap they're gonna bank off of Magnus' design simply b/c their orginal ring fix wasn't the best....I'd go w/ AMS, Magnus, or SSP V3 (ONLY V3!!!)

I went with Magnus simply because of the ability to adjust the clutch play more.
I was originally considering the AMS but in a PM I received (while doing a sales quote right from them) it was mentioned that theirs didn't adjust much at all.
