Hmm.. That is the first I've ever heard of the CMC being different.

Same here. 2012 GSR and no DRL's on the base model.

 

Hmm.. most of the 2012's I've seen had the SS package. I guess that's why I didn't know they deleted the DRLs..

Actually I like that better because when you upgrade to HIDs it works better than the old way with the DRLs on the non-SS.

 

This ended up being not true. You still have the same plastic master as the rest. In the case of the Evo, you should always buy new, you never know what your getting when you buy a used Evo.

 

can someone explain the main differences between the 12's and 13's?

From what I've read the improvements where made in the 2011 model and those improvements have carried over to the present year model. I have not read or heard of any improvement between the 12 and 13 Xs.

 

hmm i noticed 1 difference between my 2012 and a friends 2013
the cubby hole under hvac controls , is now covered with 2 access doors for storage.

 

Any performance gain at all?

 

personally not that i saw..
both mine and his car put down around the same stock numbers on a dynojet.
he edge me out by 3 hp although it was a cooler day.
