Evo X - Model Year Differences

There also appears to be a power difference in the 2012 over the previous year’s affecting tuning - see existing thread:

Anyway, there is a reason that some tuners are making around 15-20whp less some 2012s. I believe that the answer will come out before the year is up. Some people are saying they have different cams, but I think it is going to be something tuning wise that needs to be done.

You can indeed open a 2012 with just the door handle. you just push the black button with your thumb, while pulling the door handle with your 4 fingers.
As long as the FAST key is in your pocket, the door unlocks/opens.

I have a 2009 GSR (middle east spec, so yes it is a 2009 ) It came with the full rockford fosgate system with the sub, fast key entry system, 6 disk CD changer, rally art tail lights, but has the tacky orange/red LCD in the cluster, no sat nav and no areo kit.
Just thought I would share, seems I have an unusual mix of options.

No. The 2008s have a sensor that unlocks the car as soon as you slide your hand in the door. No button needs to be pushed. Not the same thing.

Somewhere along the line Mitsubishi changed the design of the manual transmission shifter cable bushings as well. This became very confusing trying to purchase aftermarket metal ones. There isn't a great deal of info on it either. But I do know that several bushing manufacturers have different part numbers for different model years. Anyone know the differences?

2008 and 2010 fast keys doesn't need to push the button on the door handle, u just slide ur hand as if to open the car and it will unlock as long as the fob is within range.
I believe I've read somewhere that 2012 x has different clutch master cylinder than previous years.
And like its been said before, tune is different on each model year being 2011 the leanest out of the factory since its making baseline slightly higher than 08 and 10. I'm not sure about the 12 though. 08 baselines at 230-240hp, 2010 @ 240-250 and 2011 @ 250-260.
