Seems like every year I take my EVO out of storage there is a new issue....last year it needed a new cat.

But this year I don't know what it needs yet. Just tried starting her and the rpms shoot up to 3k and stay there for a few seconds. Don't matter if it is already at normal operating temp or cold. Sometimes there is a cel and sometimes not. Video will be up soon

Any of you folks have experienced this? If not I guess its off to the dealer. 2010 gsr with s.s.s. and 2,777 miles on the clock. STOCK. This is not a great first time Mitsubishi experiance love the car though, don't know what I will do after warrenty runs out though!

Man, what a waste for buying an EVO as garage queen... sigh~
Anyway, if u wanna start driving it ago after half year storage, better check everything first: the battery, the oil and fluids, etc.
Oh, ur poor Evo~

 

Maybe it's sitting around too long? I'd personally go for a short ride at least once or twice a month for a car in storage.
