Evo X odd dash symbol flashing. HELP!!!

So last night I went out and started my car and noticed this odd light blinking right on the left hand side of the tarmac light

It looks like a road symbol or possible an arrow. I have no clue what it is, it is red, not a warning orange indicator. Never seen it before

Did you buy the car new? It sounds like the indicator that is used to indicate you are running your alternate map via tephra mods. Try holding your cruise control button down for 5 seconds with the car running and see if it quits blinking. Check your window washer fluid level i believe that is what the indicator was used for but im unsure.

Yep thats the indicator for tepra mods when you swich tuned on the fly. I believe its used for washer fluid level. Check the fluid level and if its full i would guess you are now running a alternate ecu map and i would be carefull. Try holding down the cruise on off button with the car off and key on and see if it goes away.

Hmmm. I also read it is an intercooler sprayer indicator but since USDM dont have intercooler sprayer it is used for Tephra indicator. Well the car does have meth kit. It ran low yesterday so I wonder if it auto switches via failsafe?

BTW I appreciate your help leading me the right direction

If your running meth and map switching as a failsafe you better learn a bit more about your setup. Its most likely setup pretty well but if you dont know what that lite means maybe you should ditch the meth kit.

Yeah I have never been too familiar with meth setups and the failsafes working like they should. I always hear horror stories. But I am assuming thats what the light kicked on for, it automatically used the failsafe as soon as the meth tank ran almost empty. Now I just dont know how to get the light to go away, unless it will once the meth cycles enough and it kicks the other map back on?

Do you know who tuned it? They can probably answer all questions.

Yeah Road Race Engineering did the tuning. I was never even familiar with the Tephra mod. Guess I gotta get back into the Evo World. After selling my VIII I feel kinda lost and overwhelmed haha

So for sure it's not the washer fluid?

key on, car off, push and hold the cruise control on botton for 5 seconds. the light should go off and stay off and you will be back on your main map. As long as the light is flashing you are most likely running a alternate map/tune. If you have no idea what map tune you are running i would go to a shop that can make sure you are safe.

RRE has a great rep, so give them a call. You'll likely be in great hands.

definitely not windshield washer fluid. Its is the Tephra mod and using that light for map switching/failsafe. When I ran close to out of Meth yesterday it came on shortly after which is why I think its the failsafe that kicked on and activated "the other map"

I have tried the cruise control button and it still flashes, also tried the TPM gas pedal method and holding pedal to floor and still is on. I dont know of other methods that are used for map switching with Tephra...

Car drives fine, doesnt feel like a loss in power and no codes thrown due to detect in knock which I have read that most tuners set up, not sure though
