TialQR spring assistance

Hi everyone. I was lucky enough to pickup a flanged AMS licp and will be throwing on a TialQR since my Synapse Synchronic wasn't playing nice even with the aby.milspec spring. I did some research on the spring that comes with it and noticed is was -11. I'm pretty sure this is also the same spring type that ships with a brand new ams piece with the QR already on it. I've read that I should change to the -6 spring because of flutter/surge. I will be retuning immediately, but was wondering if I should stay with the -11 or just go with -6. Would AMS have already done the spring swap if it really needed to be changed?

Does it it make a high pitched whistling sound when you just press the gas very slightly?
Not the turbo whistling spool sound, but like a high pitched leak lol.

choose your spring pressure based on the vacuum at idle.. if you choose to stiff of a spring it will stay open and whistle like you just said above..

what vacuum are you producing at idle?

I have the same bov, mine came with a -11psi spring but i installed a -8psi which was still abit to stiff so i went to a -6psi spring and works perfect. Here is a video with the 8psi spring. The first video around the 4:38 mark (during one of the turns) you can hear it flutter.

Hmmm. You and Wraith seem to be on the same page.
It does say to chose by vacuum though >_<

Your 2nd video is 8spring as well? Sounds good.

Wraith went with 6psi right off the bat. I decided to try the 8psi but after a few weeks i switched to the 6psi spring and it works perfect. Both videos are with the 8psi spring.
