A while ago my Evo X had a leak between transfer case and gearbox.

We just replaced on the transfer case one seal and a larger oring that was next to that seal. We stopped the leaks but I am not sure if there were more seals that needed replacement.

- After draining the transfer box oil, we took it apart from the gearbox and oil started to drain between them (gearbox oil I assume), it was a lot so we then drained the gearbox too. Are we supposed to have gearbox oil there (between tcase and gearbox) ?

- Anyone knows if there is a seal on the gearbox like in attached image ?

Maybe someone took the gearbox off and knows if it is supposed to keep its oil inside or leak on the side with transfer case.
