Yeah I would be plenty happy with around 330-350HP/TQ so I don't have crazy plans even for the GSR. There a more things I want to do but I wouldn't do much more than I have with mine. The hard part would be finding one for an even trade. I did find one that has around 25/27K miles for around 25 or 26K. It might have been an 08 too. I have a 2010 with around 17K miles. I would want around 28 or so for mine, but I don't know if a dealer would even touch that.
I say go with the MR. You get to have an Evo, your wife doesn't have to learn stick. Evo is also safe car for baby, so everybody wins.
I have a GSR and wouldn't feel any different if it was an MR. Both are fun. SST w/S-Sport will be even more fun than your Ralliart.

Go for the MR. I traded in my 5-speed LGT for an MR cause the wife said the only way i can get an evo is if she's able to drive it. And since i don't want to teach her how to drive a manual on a new Evo X, MR it was. honestly, it's still fun and the sport and SS setting makes a difference.
of course i miss the traditional manual, but i don't regret getting the MR.
