why wingless?
Funny this came up. Went on a second date with a girl last night. I parked right in front of the bar we met at. First thing she said when she walked in was "Why did you put that BIG thing on the back of your car?" I said I didn't, it came like that. then she said "You know that wing doesn't make your car faster." LOL I said, well actually tests show it is a little faster on the track with the wing. Then she says, and I HATE when people say this, "Are you on a track?" Well the statement was it doesn't make it faster, not whether I am on a track. It's part of what the Evo is. I know I know, the MR doesn't have it, it also shifts itself.
The RS didn't due to weight savings I am sure and probably figured people racing them were going to put a proper adjustable wing on it.
Then as I was walking her to her car (A Honda CRV
) I looked at my car under the shimmering street lights and said "Damn she is beautiful" and the girl said, "She is ugly and it's not even a race car!" LOL What did I do? I asked her on another date for this Saturday which I am picking her up for and the goal is that after the first on ramp she will never talk to me again and will need a change of panties (And not for the GOOD reason.) Yokahama 08's 265's getting installed Friday, it's going to be a good test for their traction level.
As for attention. I don't notice any more attention from cops then when I had my Range. Although I am 42 but they don't know that. It does help block some bright headlights at night. The only way I would go wingless would be do luck trunk lid. As far as what girls like? Who The cares. If I wanted their opinion I would give it to them. I had the fancy cars and they didn't get me anymore girls than I can get now. Girls may have their opinions on cars but if they go out with you or don't based on your car, it's only going to be a mess in the future. There is always going to be somebody with a better car.

That's hardcore right there. May be a tad too much downforce for daily use.
I'd do it though if I were needing that much downforce and if the car were black otherwise I'd stay with the OEM setup.

Mine came with the OEM low wing and I bought a cf high wing becuase..well...its an evo and they just look "right" with them.
Wingless just makes it look like a typical sedan....a coroalla for example.
And to address your comment on the people that go wingless and still have have the holes in their trunks. They are the same guys that ran around in their non-turboed civics with no exhaust and primered body kits. They just grew up and got jobs and can afford an evo now. Going wingless and having the holes is just straight white trash.

I own a 2012 WW MR with the factory lip spoiler and agree the trunk needs "something". The Evolution sss wing is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It is clear it was engineered with car, and not an after thought. For that reason, it compliments Evo very well and when removed, appears "empty". That is why I want one for Christmas. lol
