New evo, new problems!!!!
sup guys. up until this point i had a 2011 gg gsr. long story short the car was being leased and mitsubishi messed up my car while in service, so they are willing to switch my lease onto a 2013 evo. im leaning towards getting a black MR. now my problem is that i got an accessport for my 2011, and now that i have read up the forums, it doesnt look like cobb is going to be releasing maps anytime soon. if i sell my cobb and am left with 400$, what kind of mods or other tunes would fit in that price range with similar power gains compared to the stage 1 flash on my gsr? thanks for any help guys
and to make my question a little easier: i was never too interested in modding, just wanted something to my evo a push, and the ap for my 2011 was perfect. now that im getting a 2013 and cobbs support is lacking for it, i want to sell it and with the money im getting (around 400$) i would like to get a mod or mods that would give my 2013 equivalent power gains

well the tires would have to be replaced as well. and theyre not really giving us a new car theyre basically terminating the old contract without penalty and letting me sign a new deal. and after thinkinh about it in the long run it would only be costing 1,500$ more than to fix my currnet car, but instead im getting a brand new car!
So basically you're starting over with a new lease? Which means they are not going to give you credit for your down payment and payments up to this point?
What's is cost to lease an evo now? I remember seeing a promo they were running a couple years back, I think it was like 3k or 4k down and 349 a month for 36 months maybe? It didn't seem like a horrible deal considering its a 40k car.

The new term of the lease is
3500 down, for $345 a month.
The above is for the pure base model Evo , no options at all
its for 48 months .
With 3 options:
1) You can get out of your lease as early as 8 months
2) You can extend your lease for an additional 8 months.
3) Buy your car outright. If you finance it you probably will have around 17-20k left on the pay off, some people would say its nuts to finance a car for 8 years ( 4 years of the lease + 4 year loan)
I did a lease because I didn't know if I was going to keep this car. I usually dump all my performance vehicles after 4 years of ownership.. But this car is the first I can truely say that I am keeping.
As soon as my lease is over, I am just buying it outright, the best thing is that I can haggle with Mitsu since I am buying a used car lol.
As far as the OP. Just get yourself a tactrix cable , and get your car tunned .. get that puppy up to 300awhp and you will be happy as hell.

OP if I were you I would hold onto my Access Port. The Access Port and a protune is the best mod for the price. If you sold your AP and bought other mods, such as an Intake or an exhaust, it would kinda be a waste cause you would need a tune to really see a difference. Hold onto the AP and get the car tuned!...just my .02
