SSP CMC vs 08 Stock


btw SSP CMC is complete POS.. I got their version 3.. failed after a year. the pedal didn't go flat, but it wouldn't pop back up unless I pull it. found out it was the SSP CMC leaking pressure. SSP called it a "wear and tear" issue, gave me a new one under 1 year warranty.

now my 1 year is over... if this **** fails again in a year, I'm switching to AMS

Not always the CMC.

I actually had the CMC hydraulic line go. Clutch pedal still worked, but the pedal was getting closer to the floor. Got a brake light everytime I accelerated or turned hard. Reservoir was low. Filled it up multiple times to get clutch pedal working.

Thought it was the CMC at first, swapped the CMC, found out the hyro line was shooting brake fluid onto the CMC making it look like there was a leak coming from the CMC.

I just got the new hydro line from Mitsu today. You know what I'll be doing tonite.....






Lesson: Make sure it's not the hydraulic line that goes to the CMC from the transmission BEFORE you swap out the CMC. That could also be the issue.

2008 with 55k miles and just put in a new clutch about 1k miles ago. Saving up for a new CMC, but crossing my fingers that it'll hold for awhile.

(Spec 2+ clutch, if anyone's wondering)

just swapped the cmc this afternoon. it was literally broken in half. i'll post a picture tomorrow.
