I would also like to see what op ends up with as I might end up hacking up the test pipe to add a mini muffler , or HFC or something to turn it back to what it used to be.

The V2 quiet with the stock cat is awsome but the stock cat is pretty restrictive.
I agree with this, which is why I gave the advice of removing down pipe and other things that could increase sound. I seriously doubt that the ETS quiet and test pipe is as loud as you are making it seem. Deep and loud are 2 different things. No aftermarket car is going to sound as quiet as the stock cat, and the v2 quiet and Greddy se elite are 2 of the quietest exhausts for the evo sans down pipe and test pipe.

It's cool, I know what it sounds like. I have a v2 quiet without test pipe. The very well written review on this site has a comparison of the stock vs v2 vs v2+test pipe. I don't notice much of a difference in sound levels except for the test pipe adding more growl.

IMO the v2 quiet sound should have been what Mitsubishi had stock. I love it to death. My favorite mod to my Evo thus far by a long shot (until I get my weds sports that may change )

But everyone has their own opinions
I don't know of any other aftermarket exhaust that is as quiet as the two I mentioned. Unless of course you just go axle back, that might be less loud.
