I have some evo x headllight questions.
I've searched through many places(google, here and there) but couldnt find the answer to my question.
Can we use lancers headlight to lancer evolution x(im talking about the lancers hid projector headlight since I have gsr with halogen headlights)? If yes, then will there is any issues such as flicker etc. really hoping this to be plug and play since lancer and evolution to have same flatform in and out.
If lancers headlight dose not fit in evolution then im thinking of getting depo headlight and change the projector lense to something clear. Will this change help the projector to have better cut off, light pattern? cuz I heard depos projector will scatter and blind the others.
Thank you for your time.

I considered the same thing you are doing, but ended up doing my own retrofit. It's not just plug and play. I looked at some OEM HIDs awhile back, my memory may be failing, but something sticks in the back of my mind that there was some small difference about the wiring, or hookup, or the auto leveling. Someone else may be able to chime in here to say otherwise. I do know that if your GSR halogens have day time running lights, you will have to disable them, otherwise you'll get flicker. The JROX cable works perfectly.
As far as fitment, Lancer and EVO's are the same casing, bolt hookup, and guts.

the evo headlight has a single bulb for lo/hi and uses the auto-level shutter to toggle between the two. The lancer has two separate bulbs, and uses the lo as the DRL. You could do it, but in essence you would lose your hi-beams if you use the evo wiring on a lancer housing.

I am Brit Army stationed in Germany and we are required to meet EU car testing standards ie we need left hand drive headlights installed in our Right hand drive UK cars.
I'll cut to the chase... I had to remove my UK xennons and no way was I gonna fork out 1100 euros for some EU ones just to pass a test. I bought some cheap Lancer GS headlights and installed them in my Evo X, they are plug and play. The only problem I have is I have to turn off the AFS button (addaptive front lighting system) the feature that turns on the corner lights. If you dont turn it off you get a warning pop up on the display and it wont go away until you disconnect the battery.
so I basically I plugged in Halogen headlights to a Xennon system and there's no problems, everything works fine, no flickering etc.. so I assume it would be fine the other way around, as the wiring loom is no different all the differences are on the back of the headlight.
does that make sense?
hope that helps.
