For those of you with ACD pump failures (merged)
Mine is not an Evo X, just Ralliart. Anyways, my awd warning light keeps turning on everytime I start the car. So I'm assuming that my ACD pump is also toasted. Mine is 09 Ralliart with 103,000kms.
All Wheel Pump Failure
What's up guys. I'm in need of some help/advice. On Sunday as I was driving around town my sister (sitting on the rear passenger side) said she noticed a nice that sounded like a cell phone left on vibrate. So, I turn down the music and sure enough it sounded like a pump was working to hard. I left the noise, and eventually it went off, but right after the Service required came on the dash. I took it in to the dealer, and said I needed a new hydraulic pump and that the part itself is 2100. My car is a 2010 GSR with 25,000 miles. Ive read all post made related to this and seems that most pumps go out during the winter, except mine went out during summer time. I was planning on getting a three day vacation (mini vacation) but my question is can I still drive the car, but not do heavy driving? Im usually a normal driver.
Thanks guys
P.S. Dealer denied covering it under warranty, which I think is messed up to us evo owners since most of us experience this problem at a low mileage

As of today I still haven't hooked up my scanner to see if its throwing a code. But, ill try putting it on today and see if theres a code, and then ill report.
I'm sorry about your pump, but the following simply isn't true.
Go here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...e-reports.html and note that pumps can fail at any time of the year.
A plain scanner can't read the codes for a dead pump. You need something like AccessPort, MUT, and, maybe, EvoScan.
I just heard about acd-tuning.com from a friend the other day. They will rebuild it for you pretty cheap (compared to a new one). I dunno if that helps u out any, but they seem to be pretty knowledgeable with these things
I hope that doesn't break any rules. I don't feel like searching for them and leading u around the forum more.
