Lights

i have 2 questions if i may, i have just bought my self a new evo x 2014 gsr, so
1st could any one tell me what the head light bulbs will be for high and dip beam plus the side lights, number plate lights and roof interior lights?

2nd the plastic stickers on the boot/trunk of the car are there clipped in or just stuck on i.e. if i was to remove them they wouldn't be any holes there underneath lol

Thanks
Chris

Not sure what the dipped beem is.

You want to know what bulbs are used in the side lights (turn signal)? And what bulbs are used in the headlights?

Does your Evo have the SS package or is it a base model?

Just search ebay for "Lancer Evolution head lights" or "Lancer Evolution Lightbulbs," something to that affect. The 08-14's are all the same except for if you are looking for LED lights.

If you are trying to switch out to hid lights, it will require more than just changing the light bulbs.

Have you installed those DRL's yet?

Also I don't believe the OP has DRL lights since it is non SS. But I am not familiar with the UK models

havent had a chance to install them yet, been busy with work and a death in the family. im off the next 2 days so ill plan on putting them in at some point. ill post pics when im done.

im pretty sure all the new x's have drl's but if you have the ss package you can pull the fuse to turn them off. dont quote me on that though.

My 2012 was a base model and did not have drl's. I do not know if this has changed on the 2013-14's though.

When I installed my first set of LED's on my 2013 they did not work. The bulbs did however work on someone else's Evo (non 2013). I then came across this thread:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ocket-wtf.html

It seems that the polarity of the DRL's may have been reversed in the 2013 when compared to the 2012-prior models. Either that or me and a few others had reversed polarity sockets and the rest of the 2013's were normal.

I was finally able to find some bulbs that were bipolar and worked in either direction.

I believe that statements of this sort are supposed to be followed by: "not that there's anything wrong with that."
