Evo X as a DD
i've got an '08 too and I DD it. Before i got the car, my biggest concern was the suspension. A lot of reviews online says that the suspension is harsh for normal driving. But when I got the car, i realized it wasn't the case.
These things are great for DD or on track.

I used to dd my 2010 X SE. Wasn't bad at all considering the SST. Had basic bolt ons and a tune so it was a decent ride to get from a to b. Wouldn't want to dd my GSR though just cause of traffic.

Driving my X in traffic is no different than any other manual trans car. Just don't buy some stupid aftermarket gorilla clutch and you'll be fine. 64k miles and I still love jumping in mine every single day! When I'm visiting my parents (or they're down visiting me) neither my mom nor dad have any problems driving it either.
There are three main things I recommend avoiding if you're trying to keep the car as smooth and streetable as possible:
1. aftermarket cams
2. lightweight flywheel
3. aftermarket clutch with heavy pressure plate

Can someone explain the TC-SST transmission to me? From what I am reading it lets you switch the car to automatic basically?
Would it be worth it to get the MR instead of the GSR?

Also others might have that as a complaint because they are modded. I'm still on a stock clutch so it's not to bad but I'm on E-85 and my car idle's pretty high (IMO) so I just see my MPG getting worst as I sit there.
Is it worth it? Some will say yes and some will say no. When I bought my new Evo I was considering a MR. But a base model MR was the same price as my GSR with SS and SL so I went with the GSR again.
It really is personal preference...do you want an automatic or manual transmission? Simple as that really.
