I have had my 4wd service light on and took it to the dealer, they said that they reset that code and I should never get it again. As soon as I drove it off the parking lot , my Tarmac blinks all the way home... I called the dealer back up and taking it n....what is the cause of the Tarmac light blinking all off a sudden??????

instead of having them clear the code, find out what the code is and post it.

Also how many miles? This thread might help:

Yup, that's my guess too. RIP ACD pump.

Nope. Corrosion. See any recent ACD/AYC pump thread.

Maybe cold, but I've yet to see a pump with a dead motor and no corrosion, so it's a distant second.

thanks for that info. for some reason, i was under the impression that acd pump failure is only for colder climate folks.

let me guess, the acd/ayc pump is exposed to the element. knowing i wouldn't be surprised if it's exposed to the elements.

If you have a C161F code, it's most likely dead. It's not the dealer's fault that Mitsu told them to tell you some nonsense about cold weather.
