Lookin at an 08 GSR

Hey guys, new to the forum here. I'm looking into buying an 08 Evo X GSR from a used car dealer. She's already got 58k miles on her, but being i'm planning on borderline rebuilding the car i'm not really worried about that. The dealer is asking for 20k, would just like to ask for some insight if yall think it's a good price for that many miles? It's also got "injen" and "ultimate racing" decals under the hood, but no aftermarket performance parts, so my guess is that the dealer returned it to stock, but left the decals on...any advice would be appreciated. thanks!

20k is really low, that car has probably been in a few accidents, and the dealer would never return a car to stock seeing as how that would cost them more money to switch all the parts back, what most likely happened is that the guy who traded it in returned it to stock himself and left the decals on, pm me the link of the car and ill go over it with you

Yeah 20k is super low. Get an Auto Check or Car Fax. Also ask if the CVN matches the OEM tune for the 2008's. If the car was modded, then returned to stock, you want to make sure the ECU was also reset to stock. Plus, inject is cheap ricer ****.

Thats a low price, do your research on it and demand a compression check. If all is good sounds like a great deal.

Very Low price indeed, I both my RHD SST & GSR for $57,000 from Japan and that was the lowest price possible and the JDM EVO's are quite a bit cheaper than the USDM ones. Still do and Carfax and also take it for a test drive before purchase.

Awesome thanks for the info guys, Ill pm you the link. I've already checked the carfax and it's clean but I was a mechanic for a while so I know that just because it wasn't recorded doesn't mean that it wasn't in an accident haha and like I said i'm probably gonna do a decent amount of work to her anyway, the Evo has been a borderline dream car for me for a while. I'm probably most concerned about the clutch, and i'll do a BLT almost as soon as I get it.
