In my 8 when I blew the head gasket I had a reason to rebuild by engine to lol.
I did a dropin, wesco pistons, tt rods, 272 cams, springs and retainers.
Had her at 542whp and almost 500wtq.
Don't go to laggy on the turbo.
GL!

This isn't in the form of a question. What exactly are you after for info?

I have experienced first hand the disasters wrought by well meaning but inexperienced people rebuilding their engines.

It can however be accomplished. You should hook up with a friend that has experience with engine rebuilding and have them guide you through the process or there are many good books available that should be reread time and time again before beginning the process.

Three books to read, available from Amazon, would be:

How To Build Max Performance Big Blocks by Andy Finkbinder

Big Block Mopar Performance by Chuck Senatore

How To Rebuild Big Block Mopar Engines by Don Taylor

I recommend having an experience engine builder do the engine, UNLESS you have burning desire to do it yourself, AFTER reading the above books.

So I guess the question would be are you considering rebuilding it yourself or having a shop do it for you? What modifications to the engine would you consider?

I agree that reading and understanding the process of an engine rebuild is very important, but it should be known that you are referencing sources for domestic automobiles.

But, I'll trust your judgement and check-out these sweet-books, thanks

What causes the HG to go on an EVO? I know that's a fairly common issue on Subaru's but wasn't aware it was seen frequently on EVO's?

1. Manley "I-Beam" Connecting Rods
2. ARP Headstuds /main studs
3. Oem Headgasket
4. Wiseco piston or Manley Forged Pistons
5. GSC Power-Division S2

Odd reading recommendations.
