cold start=check engine
My Engine maintenance light went off. Only was on for a day but our temp went from -15 when it came on to about 5' yesterday. When i started my car it did not come on and so far it's been fine. So who knows, think it's just a car that doesn't like drastic temp changes over a short period of time
I've been having problems starting in the cold as well. I didn't want to start a new thread for one question, but have any of you used Cristys drygas? I am thinking my fuel lines may be frozen. I just heard about this today so I am curious if there are any hazards to using this.
It doesn't take much flow to start the car, so if the car starts, I'd say the lines are not frozen.
ps. if you use the GW Bridge, don't use anything called "Cristy's," no matter how it's spelled

It has not started in two days. Cristy's was recommended but this is why I decided to post here before making a decision haha
Edit (posted too early): All associations aside, have you heard of any brands that work better than others?

From what I have read, yes. I hate to hijack this thread but I had the car shipped and it started while pulling it off the truck but has had trouble starting since. Refuel light was on and we have had -15 degree weather since I got it so I assumed it was gas lines. I'm sure it's something trivial but heard that recommendation today and figured I would reach out before doing anything.
For those with the P0134 (front o2 sensor) code, my status update with the dealer....
Took it in this morning, the code actually did not happen this morning during idle like it was during the extreme cold. Got a call this afternoon, since I have a tune and other mods, it is up to me to pay the inspection fee if I want it checked out. Needless to say, I am going to pick it up and take it to my tuner most likely if it keeps happening. I am thinking (hoping) it was the crazy weather.
If anyone actually has this problem addressed, post your findings so it could potentially save others some moneys.
Sorry I don't have more about it, but I'm not paying $156 to have them check a sensor on my 6k mile car, which I can look at this weekend.

We've had a cold winter in Minnesota. Many days are -20 to 0*F. I've had 3-4 CEL's come up this winter, but I havent bothered to pull any codes yet. They always go away after cycling the ignition 2-3 times and/or a day or two goes by.
I think the reason most people dont have this issue is because they live in a state that doesnt have the temperature extremes that the northern-most states do.

I really think my issues are because of the front O2 sensor. I am starting to wonder if maybe the P0134 code in cold weather is the beginning sign that your O2 sensor is starting to go out.

I find if I warm the car up long enough, it is less likely to throw the code - but then again I've only had the code thrown twice. Car otherwise drives normally, although I do have the bouncy idle once in a while.
I never had a check engine light, in Texas, and the lowest I started the car in was 31 degrees a few weeks back. Don't know if this is any help, just thought I'd chime in. My car is a completely stock 2014 MR.
