Stock DP

I have bought a turbo back exhaust and have read maybe 11-12 threads on the DP install and I am not looking forward to this since I did H&R lowering springs today. So......how beneficial is it to replace it with new DP. Is it that restrictive?? I will be installing the test pipe and catback for sure. Also wanted to heat wrap these items. Any help advice is appreciated.

What kind of downpipe? Short or o2? If o2, then yes it's a PITA. Short is pretty straight forward. As far as gain, the short won't give you any. The o2 gains are negligible I believe, but I have no first hand experience to back that up. Just what I've read.

Yeah it's a short DP with an attached test pipe. Install should be pretty straight forward, a little difficult considering that it's a TP and a DP combined, so it's quite big.

I believe so. I think the rear O2 sensor will through a code. You have to disable the code.

Ok thanks. Will the cel code disrupt performance?

I've been debating on a o2 downpipe, or just keeping the original stock o2 housing. After reading some of the horror stories I think I'm gonna just stick with the shorter downpipe that bolts right onto the stock o2 housing. I'm not going too crazy on mods, so the difference will be minimal. Although I'm going with a HFC instead of a TP. Still gonna wrap it though.

I don't believe it does because I think a good number of owners do it. I just don't know if they get protuned for that.

How restrictive is the stock housing?

I have the Cobb hand held tuner. Wonder if I can turn off cel with it?

I think you can. Try doing a search through the tuning or Cobb AP section of the forum.

You can clear cel with the cobb ap. also the stock o2 housing is fine if you're staying stock turbo.
