Evo MPG

Since I saw a non-related thread get bombed with a post war about this topic I decided to start a thread that opens the door for all to discuss and theorize about getting the best MPG.

So what is your MPG? Lets talk bout how you are getting and calculating your MPG (revs, using your counsel's gauge, logging miles/gallons at fill up, etc)

It does not matter if you drive like a granny or a newborn or if you care about mpg or how fast you can drain the tank let us talk.

Anyway I get 20 miles per gallon (completely stock 2014 gsr) based on fill-up amount and miles traveled . Mostly stay below boost except for a few pulls each driving sessions.

I average about 24-26 mpg on a stock Evo 8 MR. Mostly highway cruising with an occasional WOT pull.

I get 210-230 miles on a tank, usually fill up a notch before empty. That is on average, I get more if I do long highway trips.

I don't stay out of boost, I like to have fun with my car.

Lightly modified, custom tuned.

DD, casual driving with occasional bursts of boost;

Hwy - 25-28
City - 15-18

Was the same prior to the tune as well.

I am in the same boat. Glad to know there are others out there that enjoy having fun at the expensive of crying at the pump.

I will say the good part of a tiny tank is that the overall cost is never to much but just has to be filled up pretty often.

I fill it up when it complains at me.

It complains a lot.

I'm at 6k a lot.

My car is happy.

I am happy.

This is not an efficient car, but who cares!

I laugh at Toyota Prius drivers, they are arrogant, but so ignorant and powerless. Test Pipe + 35 PSI tire inflation + throttle ALWAYS UNDER 10% = Evo X 20 city / 28 highway (60 mph). 5th gear at 45 mph = 35 MPG. Prius real world average is about 35MPG?

I've got 900 miles on my MR and its comical how bad on gas it is, hoping it gets a little better with a tune but you know what you signed up for. Around 21mpg now.

My almost fully bolted mazdaspeed 3 was getting about 26mpg with the same commute. Meh!
