springs question

Question, so my buddy got swift springs on his MR and gave me his stock ones. Will they fit on my GSR, too cheap right now to buy new springs (also need to look at if I want to do that or coilovers) and I have about 100k on my stock ones so they are getting a little soft. Will they fit and/or run like ***? Thanks in advance!

Springs ...................... Front Rate ........ Rear Rate ...... Front/Rear Drop ...... Street Price

Stock GSR ...................... 3.5 kg ........... 2.8 - 3.7 kg .......... 0.0" / 0.0" ................. OEM
Stock MR ........................ 3.5 kg**........ 2.9 - 3.8 kg .......... 0.0" / 0.0" ................. OEM

They are pretty similar, I believe the shocks are different though

They should fit, the only thing is they might ride a little rougher due to the MR being heavier so they need to be stronger. Also the shocks fit the same, since the bilstines are a common upgrade for GSR's

what franz said. The shocks are the same but an upgrade I believe. And the springs should fit just different rate, a little bit heavier.

Related question if you don't mind a little derailing...

I've got an MR and I'm looking to do some minor suspension upgrades for autox. I was thinking about new sway bars or some other stiffening but a lot of people tell me to do coil overs.

Given that I have the MR suspension are coil overs still that high on the list?

I should also note that I'm not willing to give up ride height, I drive the car year round, often in heavy snow, I don't want it to be any lower.

i don't think the mr springs offer any advantage of your stock ones. Nothing you would notice anyways

Imma let you finish, but if any of you can detect a 0.1k change in rear springs, you have the Kim Kardashian of butt-dynos. (And I mean that in a good way, even if I just threw up a little in my mouth.)
