Regarding 2015 Evo X and beyond...

This just came across the fax machine at the dealer. It doesn't directly reference Evo XI. But it does suggest they're not done making performance cars. It also eludes to the hybrid Evo XI rumors.

It looks like they won't make an Evo after 2015, so it looks like the X is the last one.

I'm assuming that the Evo X (or any past Evo) will be really hard to find and buy in a few years from now. Why?? Because there will be no more Evolutions!

Makes me want to hold on to mine forever! Love my X

Yes, but that last paragraph is what gave me wood. Maybe it won't be called "Evolution" but if its anything like the P1 or 918 (only on a $50,000 scale) you can sure as hell count me in!

Evo lives on. Its sad that its not keeping up with advancements in IC engine and light weighting using exotic materials. But i am glad, its alive.

This IS an April Fools joke. They do it every year with their articles.

But what happened when it needed to go in a different direction?

If I wanted a car that couldn't corner, I'd buy an American car.

It's still pretty impressive, compared to the Fiat (sorta) Abarth I used to rallye back in the '70s.

And "new" has its trade-offs and issues.

CF is light, but every fender ding costs a bundle to fix. (Ask an Elise owner.)

We've been refining gas powered motors for over 100 years.
Jumping into "new" technology means a long period of wrong guesses and costly mistakes. (Look at Solyndra.)

The Internet was built on "general consensus and running code", not on "Hey, this seems cool".
(Yes, there's been innovation, but alongside the old, not a mass migration of lemmings jumping blind.)

We've been using round wheels for all of history. Should we switch to square, just to be "new"?

"Reinventing the wheel" isn't considered a good thing.

These cars are called an "Evolution" not a "blank sheet of paper".
(Mitsu tried that with the 3000GT VR-4. AKA the "garage queen". )

Well. A plug-in hybrid crossover. Absolutely riveting.
