rule 1: never trust a salesman

with your mods, you'll never know the difference unless someone tells you it makes a difference. If you want one, buy it. If you don't, don't. I had big AMS one and it wore through my AC condenser because I'm a @#$tty mechanic and installed it like 1/8" off and clearance was so precise. Next time, I bought the AEM one. So bear that in mind.

CBRD has a good point as well, just because it CAN be bigger, doesn't mean there's an advantage to being bigger. Like exhaust, your HKS hipower is only 2.75", not 3", but you wil never, ever know the difference.

when someone pulls a 1/4 car length on him there will be a thought in the back of his head. My exhaust is too restrictive

I have all the bolt ons (similar to you), and I just had an AMS downpipe and CBRD intercooler installed...netted about 15whp between the two. Price to performance, I'd skip. I only got them because I have plans to upgrade my turbo soon.
This guy speaks the truth.

Thanks for all the input guys.. well I went ahead an purchased the ams intercooler .. however i purchased it used and did a leak/boost test and nothing leaks :-) .. to be honest I can't tell if there was a difference between having one and not having one.. but i did make 350hp and 340tq.. and that feels great.. also while getting tuned i added a 3-port and a new BOV..
