Evo X GSR Clutch

i have a 2008 evo x GSR and 2 years ago the stock clutch went and i put in a spec stage 2. Now the car only has upic pipe, intake, and a cob off the shelf tune. The clutch is done again with less then 20,000 miles on the spec clutch and zero launches. I cant see how this has happend but i cant even get in gear at a dead stop. Im going to take it to Ivey tune to make sure its just the clutch and im thinking getting the exedy clutch and flywheel. Im really hoping to do alot this summer and would like to be over 400hp so looking at the exedy would the twin be the right way to go? I was just taking a quick look at the price and its about 1800. I dont mind spending it as long as it wont be like that pos spec i wasted money on.

i love the TWIN . I think the best option out there for our car. Never had a problem with it and i love the feel etc. Make sure you will install the Stainless Steel clutch line with it

I was about to ask the same question... I have CAI and CBE + Test pipe and running Stage 2 OTS from cobb and launched the car twice on stock clutch and its still running strong. 1 of the launch that I did, I thought I broke the clutch since I burnt it pretty good (first time launching an AWD) smells really bad in the cabin and thats at 30k miles!

Mine cost about $1200 in labor and about 1k in parts. Its not cheap. But, you can gets parts for less, and I have heard of some people getting 800 for labor.
