When you say "flashing" was it a consistent rate or was it fluttering on and off?
If it was a consistent rate, I would agree with the rest of the post in that is it likely the knock sensor. Don't worry about this if a) it's not doing it again and b) not happening at WOT.
If it's fluttering that could be a loose wiring harness somewhere, especially with the vibration from an open 02 dump.

Now that you bring this point up its hard to remember if it was a consistent flash or more of a flutter. All I know is that both times it happened at WOT and the dump was open.
Is there somewhere I can check to see if the connection is secure?

Srry to resurect a somewhat older thread but I'd like to add some things to this:
I'm running some of Cobb's stage3 maps now and I've had the same issues with the SES flashing twice and then going away. The first time I pulled a U0167 code (ecu read error) I uninstalled and reinstalled with no code. BTW Cobb says that they no longer put the SES flash for knock in their maps. We'll I went to go drive it again recently and same spot pulling out of my subdivision when i got on it a lil it flashed. Not sure if its telling me that the car isnt warmed up enough or what. I'll try to probe around a lil next time I talk to someone from cobb.
