2014 Evo X W/Blue Interior LED Install

Does anyone have this package? Where when u open your door or unlock your doors via keyless entry the LED inside the car by the feet turn on (blue) on both sides? I was curious if anyone had any idea where they hardwired this, did they connect it to a fuse? Im thinking they did. I am trying to locate where they installed in from thr factory.

I went to wallmart and had seen some interior lights that needed to be hardwiredin a fuse for them to work and it inspired me to go ebay shopping. Wow I found some cool interior lights that all require hardwiring. I have NO skills with electrical work. I am basically trying to figure out how to hardwire lights into a fuse so they turn on when I have the vehicle running. Yes the lights come with a on and off switch so that wouldn't be an issue. PICTURES WOULD BE AWESOME.

Thanks guys!

I'm not sure how the OEM setup is, but you can buy an "add a fuse" and connect them and ground them to the fuse box and I imagine would be a pretty easy setup.

That's the problem. That's why i wanted to see some pictures of someone doing it. I have done research on how to hard wire interior lights and i know about fuse taps people are mentioning but i just cant seem to understand what fuse goes where. How would someone connect it to the fuse box? fuse tap? Then where would the LED connection be placed inside the fuse box? New to this game. But, i am very sure it is easy with the right explanation.

I just wired my new homelink auto dimming mirror to the same location as you are talking about, that's why I was stating the obvious, I should have been more clear.

There are several places in the fuse box where you can use the add a fuse I mentioned, but ideally you would want a constant power source. If you pull out your manual you will see the location of the fuse box and each spot on it's use. There is also a ground bolt to ground the power to in the same panel.

Here's a look at the mirror install: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...installed.html

So dumb question, am I supposed to remove a fuse in the fuse box to replace with this "add a fuse" im attaching? I have not yet bought the add a fuse so im not sure how It looks like. Maybe I should do that then ask questions? Lol. I'm just trying to get ahead of the game man.. thank you for your time though.. it is appreciated.

There are empty locations that you can add to, but again it all depends on which route you want to go. Do you want it wired to the interior lights themselves? Or do you want them on separately? You can also you a soderless tap as well, which is what the mirror I purchased came with so I did not have to cut into any preexisting wiring.

Also depends on which LED kit you buy as well, I am sure there are a million different kinds.

Open the fuse panel, pull out your manual and have a look. You will have a better idea of what you will be doing.
