2015 came with some hardships for automotive manufactures. Many world wide standards for safety were enforced in the seating area and rear visuals. Why you'll see ever single car now have a back up camera.

Unfortunately this means you wont see the Recaro seats you love, even in the MR. The reason for those crappy seats? Mitsu probably didn't have anything better to put in that would fit.

Keep good care of those recaro's you own!!! They'd probably be worth something eventually...

For the evo fans should be happy they makin em for last year.If u want better seats like recaros i guess u goin to have to buy em.from what I notice most of the car company doin same thing..lol

Does this mean you can't add the recaros at all to the 2015 at all if you happen to own one? Let's say you get into an accident with some of those in there with someone in your car and they sue you, would you be held liable in some way because of safety issues?

 

No more so than if they said "Sparco" on them.

I'm sure Evo Recaro's will fetch a premium even more so now.

the mitsu Evo X recaro variant didn't pass 2015 safety laws for what ever reason... I have a 2015 STi and same thing, fixed head rest went away as well. Their still pretty good seats, at least Subaru made new ones still sporty. It looks like this 2015 Evo got base Lancer seats lol.

 

^They look way better than the new X seats IMO.
