2015 evo X
I'm really hoping I can still get a left over '14 in july when i can get out of my M4 lease. I keep wanting to come back to evo's. Went from '08 evo, to m3, to '11 evo to m4. Should of learned my lesson the first time around. I will be back in an evo, just hate to get a '15 with those awful seats

I think you'll still be able to find a 2014 close to summer but you may have to drive to get it or you may be paying closer to MSRP/fully loaded...or you'll get blue/red which seems to be the two less sought after colors?
I maybe the only 1 or very small minority....

...but, I would prefer "regular" seats over Recaro seats. The rationale is:
a. I don't aggressively drive my beloved EVO, thus no need to be hugged in my seat as I tear up the asphalt;
b. The Recaro seat grooves (holding drivers in place) will wear out - since it's raised - through time;
c. The Recaro seat grooves prevent easy of movement in and out of the car;
I would say reasons b and c would be my most important reason for non-Recaro seats.

Because when I first saw the EVO X MR Touring, I said to myself, “that is my dream car.” As a 37 year old, I can’t come to grips with buying a “rice rocket” with all the corresponding attributes. Then, the perfectly balanced machine (MR-Touring) arrived in 2010 where adult amenities (leather,sun-roof, sound dampening) and legendary performance was carefully weighted for consumers such as myself.
So I was just told by my Dealer (service Manager) that it is all rumor that the Evo line will disappear. He told me that in the past they discontinued the car around 06 to 08 and the car was brought back with the X. He told me that production will stop so that Mitsubishi can focus on making a Hybrid Evo, making it the X's predecessor. I'm not sure if he was talking out of his A** but could this be true?

It was confirmed there won't be a new evo. I believe he said maybe to the performance car but it won't be like what we have now.
Thanks guys for confirming the dealer specialist manager is out of his mind lol. I read all the articles with the CEO confirming the going away edition with more HP and only 2k units were going to be made.

"There is a new Evo coming out soon."
"The new Evo will be a hybrid."
"There won't be a new Evo, but we will be making a hybrid performance car to replace it."
"We're probably going to make a performance hybrid SUV with the Evo tech and Outlander platform."
"We probably aren't going to be coming out with anything new for a while."
"No comment."
They dropped 3 of their models (Galant, Eclipse, Evo) in a short span and didn't replace them with anything. Does not seem like Mitsubishi (Motors) is doing too good, imo.
Well on the note of going to the dealer, I saw the new 2015 MR's and what is up with the company painting the side vents and the hood vents the same color as the car? IMO, it looks a bit tacky, I like the black instead of painted.
From what I gathered the sequence of events went like this:
"There is a new Evo coming out soon."
"The new Evo will be a hybrid."
"There won't be a new Evo, but we will be making a hybrid performance car to replace it."
"We're probably going to make a performance hybrid SUV with the Evo tech and Outlander platform."
