I was unsure if I wanted black or white, so I just told the dealers I was cool with either as long as it had all the options I wanted. The cool thing about white is all the vents pop more and are a lot more noticeable, so it makes the car stand out a little I think. The cool thing about black is... it's black, 'nuff said.

I got the white and was pretty happy with it... until it started snowing and they started salting the roads. Now... I cannot keep it clean. Literally dirty as soon as it's washed, like, I didn't even move it and it's dirty again already. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN.

Anyway, yeah, back on topic... 2015s, just buy aftermarket recaros

I mainly wanted to get black because I just traded in a Pearl White WRX, so I think it was the desire to change.

I like white, just think black looks pretty mean as well. White seems still highly sought after and popular. They salt the roads here so white is great at not showing that, however road grime is HORRIBLE. We'll see, if I ever get my EVO! Waiting on the dealership to email!

I think no one can go wrong getting any of the final years of the Evo, with them possibly ending production, they are going to be VERY highly sought in the future and anyone who purchases now is purchasing an investment. I would say if you can get them factory installed, you're better off than aftermarket.

4.) Order aftermarket seats from Recaro

I'd look into all of those options, and if one suites your needs, jump on it. If you're willing to go to PA to buy the car, I could maybe set you up with a dealer that would sell you a 2015 with Recaros. I'd have to ask.
Do dealers normally let you order recaros from the 2014 and install them?

I'm on the fence with buying the 2015 and i'm trying to somehow get better seats into the evo than those stock ones.

Just say you want to order replacement seats. They'll ask you for a VIN, use any 2014 VIN (just make sure it has the same options you have [leather? heated seats?]), buy the seats, hope they work.

No one has confirmed that the seats are a direct swap yet, proceed at your own risk.

The dealer will not install the seats for you. Well, most won't. I know of only 1 that will and it's in PA. I haven't named it in public because I'm not sure if they'll get in trouble.

Thanks!

I think I might have to wait before someone confirms that the stock recaros fit on the 2015 evo x.

Anyone have an idea how much the recaros cost to order from dealer? And if it would be wiser to just order recaros from a website?

Only thing I like is the mirrors. And that's a 50/50 on them, I'd have to see em in person. I wonder if anyone would swap the new mirrors onto older models?

Here's a link to someone selling some OEM Recaros:
http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22690

Speaking to the dealership/parts guy yesterday, they said the seats in the 2015 have a different platform they sit on. They don't believe it will be a simple bolt in process, but they think it can be done without going through TOO much trouble. I wouldn't rely on that and I'm sure someone will release a "HOW TO" soon enough.

My opinion is to get a 2014 if you can or find one you want. You'll be able to get a great deal on one now if you can find a dealership to work with you. I got mine for $3,300 under MSRP.

Also, resale will be better having the Recaros associated to the VIN. Anything that is OEM installed is better than having someone install it themselves.

This.

One of the few times in history it will be best to have the second to last model year of a car rather than the last.

The dealer said it would cost a significant amount. From what I gather, since newer cars use soft switches it would require a new wiring harness and rewiring a good portion of the car. You might be able to work it out with a hard switch, but you'd have to do it yourself, including fabricating the switch.

Screw that I'll keep my mirrors, and put the money towards go fast goodies.
