Leather and heated Recaros. They add that touch of luxury you would expect when dropping $40k+ on a car.

What a disgrace... The seats were the one awesome feature of the evo x interior. I got sueded comp seats on my c7 corvette and they still aren't as awesome as the x recaros. But the rest of the interior kicks the **** out of the evo... As it should for the price.

That's almost a worse mistake than not redesigning the recaos. It's ****ing ugly as hell in person.

Me too.

I don't get how they could put these seats in an Evo.

Saw one today when I was at the dealership inquiring about snow tires. Wow it's so bad, words cannot express how glad I am that I got the last 2014 in my area.

Took pictures for those of you that don't live near a dealership that has one / don't want to go to the dealership just to see one...

I actually like the side markers on the mirrors. But that "chrome" thing that replaced the old side marker is terrible.

They had to replace the seats because of guidelines that NHTSA changed for side airbag deployment.

The mirrors are gorgeous, but I damn sure wouldn't trade them for that chrome thing or the worst seats in the history of race cars.

The mirrors would be better if the plastic didn't stick out I think. If it was flush I'd be ok with them, I don't like the bulge.

That chrome thing is just blah. I forgot to take a closer picture of it, I got distracted by salemen pestering me. Apparently when you pull up to the dealership in a Mirage they let you alone pretty much, but this is the first I really came here with the evo... I had like 3-4 salesmen on me almost right away.

Anyway, getting the tires put on Friday, I'll take a better pic of that and post it then. I'll have about an hour to kill so I'll get to look closer at it then, I was in a bit of a rush today.

Why couldn't Mitsu just let it die? It's not like evos were their hot sellers anyway.

Funny, I keep coming back to this thread to see if anything has changed. Don't know why I keep doing it. It's torture.

This is awful. Mitsu should've killed the model last year. Otherwise, they could have come up with a clever marketing campaign lowering the price of the car and plugging in aftermarket seat suppliers to fit your new Evo.

Ugh.

For 4 years now I've been on and off about buying an Evo. I've been through a few cars since.

The one thing that has really held me back is the lack of fold-down back seats. That extra bit of practically really makes a difference for me. Now, after seeing these seats and the fact that any remaining '14s will be commanding a premium... that's the last nail in the coffin.

Believe it or not, I'm saving some money and buying a $23K Fiesta ST. :/ Don't like it as much as the Evo, but it's cheaper, more practical and has awesome Recaros. For the price, I like it better. Overall, we'll you know.

I'm not going away though. I know at some point I'll have a used IX or X. Just a matter of time.

The non fold down back seats are an annoyance, so is the lack of trunk space. But honestly I don't daily drive it so it's not that serious.

To me, the 2014 is the last of the real EVO's, and I bought mine brand new for that reason alone. You should run and grab up that Fiesta, that is one of the most fun cars I have ever been behind the wheel of, no BS. (Owned a Focus ST as well, similar fun, but the handling is crazy better in the Fiesta even with substantially less power)

My next car is going to say "Hellcat" on the back, so I may be daily driving the evo sooner than I thought

Shame, you can hardly call it an evolution anymore, it's more like de-evolution now haha...
