E85 question

So i heard from someone that next year in texas, the registration and inspection sticker will be one sticker instead of having them divided into two. So local shop owners who hook people up with the inspection wont be able to, since it will come from the D.P.S.

I use a Test pipe, so emissions would definitely fail on petrol. I was wondering if I use E85, will it make a difference enough to where i pass the emissions? or will i have to slap on the Catalytic and drive like a grandma to the DPS for emissions.

Yes texas is moving to the one sticker method and i believe texas inspections will still be performed by the same people with just a different way of notifying dps. I also believe just having a catalectic converter present is all that is looked for

i see, So all the tech's with the State inspection Certification will still do the inspection. but they would report it to the DPS and pretty much give them the OK for the Sticker? if thats the case im not even worried!

Starting March 1st, 2015, the State of Texas is switching to one sticker system for both Motor Vehicle Inspections and Motor Vehicle Registration. This is how it will work.
1. Get vehicle inspected as usual within 90 days of MVR expiring. Your inspection status is uploaded in a state computer system. You will also receive a paper copy of your inspection; you will not receive a sticker. Must pay for inspection at inspection site.
2. When you go to get MVR, your verification of MVI will be in the system. If not there, show paper copy of inspection.
3. You will be issued 1 sticker at the time you pay for your registration.
4. For the first year, if you have a current inspection sticker at the time your MVR expires, you will not have to get an inspection.
