My brother bought a 2008 Evo X in July 2014 from a dealer ship in St. Louis. He wanted to see if he could find the previous owner to get some background on the car.

I knew a guy who had an evo same color and everything. What is it lowered on ?

 

Pretty generic looking, should definitely add more details to find the owner

 

Bring it to a local tuner in your area, have them do a once over. Past that find out if the timing chain was replaced, if not, do so ASAP. Before 2011 those were prone to stretch.

Honestly your chance of finding the previous owner are pretty slim, so protect yourself and your investment by getting it looked at before you drive it hard. Maybe it has a tune, maybe not. Maybe it has some aftermarket stuff on it, maybe not.

Least you should do is take some engine bay pictures so people can guess and try and help, but your best bet bar none is to have someone with knowledge look at it in person and make sure the tune is safe.

 

It was on lowered on HKS coils. Had a Perrin drop in air filter and Perrin exhaust. also had the 08 red tail lights replaced with the black housing 11' ones.

Dang sorry dont know him i live in saint louis and know someone who go rid of an evo awhile back but those would not be the same coilovers he had sorry..well good luck with the search

 

Also the previous owner traded it in for a Prius lol.

 

There was a guy in Chicago who was selling the RPF-1 here in the forum and also on Craigslist and I remember the picture because I was gonna get the rims.

 

That was my brother. But I'm looking for the owner before him. My brother bought the car last summer.
