2015 EVO MR Build
Hey guys i'm planning out my build a bit down the line for my Evo and I'm looking for some suggestions on parts. Basically It comes down to how far can i push it and still pass emissions in Cali running e85, excluding the visual portion.
Parts I already have:
Parameters I'd like to keep:
Things I'm looking into (question marks = need input):
Parts I already have:
- Turbo back w/ hfc. (No O2 housing change)
- high flow panel
- AMS IC
- IC hard pipes
- AMS boost pill
Parameters I'd like to keep:
- Be able to pass smog; I live in Cali (just emissions portion, exclude visual)
- keep panel filter (don't want to go CAI/cone)
- Stock bore
- stock frame turbo
Things I'm looking into (question marks = need input):
- Clutch pack upgrade (dodson sportsman clutch kit)
- e85 (flex fuel tune)
- radium fuel rail
- ss fuel lines
- in line filter
- sst heat sump pan
- Injector/pump combo for 80% duty cycle on injectors (1.1k cc + walboro 450) ?
- in line vs in tank fuel pump ?
- Sleeved block (pistons and rods too if it doesn't interfere with smog) ?
- ported + ceramic coated intake manifold ?
- ported +ceramic coated exhaust manifold ?
- New DP with o2 housing ?
- turbo - something just a small step up from stock that has a decent spool rpm (fp green, GTX3071R, 5858, bbx lite)?
- cams (is this an auto smog fail)?

I think you are excited about your car, which is good, but need to read a lot lot lot more before you start choosing parts for it. Then before you buy anything, get in touch with 5150 racing in your area, discuss your goals, and part list, then either install the parts you agree on before they tune it, or have them install the parts and tune it if you are unable.
That's what I would highly suggest! The transmission in your car is $13,000 to replace. Treat it with care and only have the best touch it, or you can live to regret it. 5150 is a great shop and close to you.

At 5150 racing I was able to achieve 345hp and 355 torque (Dyno Jet numbers)
Fuel type: 91
Mods:
k&n drop in filter
Grimmspeed boost controller
Map o2 Dump downpipe
High flow cat
and 3.5" single exit exhaust
With what you listed, your car will make much more than what your goal is.

Yeah i plan on getting my flex fuel tune there. I was either going to have WORKS do my tranny or ideally ship it to kozmic for the clutch pack upgrade. SSP rates the stock clutch plate at around 325 tq. Sitting at around 300 hp / 325 tq right now, dont wanna push any further until i get clutch pack upgrades.
At any rate, im not going any further until i pay off my car and warranty is out. Just looking into the future.
