2008 gsr brake boosting
Ok, so have bean reading the forums trying to get an understanding of break boosting. I was told that the feature was disabled on all models after the 2008. I noticed that every one seems to be talking about using the feature for rolling races.
To my understanding this seems ridiculous (very damaging to the car) I assumed the feature was originally designed for road courses or auto X. It seems that brake boosting would be very helpful when heel toeing and shooting out of a curve.
Wanted to get clarification on this feature and what models of the car have it and some info on its alleged use.
Thanks for any info.

It's standing on the brake and the throttle at the same time in order to maintain speed while building boost. Doesn't hurt the car except for wear on the brakes if you do it repeatedly, or if you do it at too low of rpm and get the turbo to surge.

have you tested your 0-60 time? once just launching normally and another break boosting to see what sort of difference it makes?

See, launches are for when you race from a dig. Brake boosting is when you race from a roll. So say i was racing at 40km/h, i would push my brake and gas at the same time making sure your going full throttle, then you adjust how hard you need to be pushing the brake to maintain the current speed you'll be racing at. Therses many videos on youtube that demonstrate how they lose when they dont brake boost vs them winning using brake boosting. Pretty much all brake boosting does is it has your turbo already spooling so that when you release brake you go bye bye, rather than rolling at a certain speed then pushing your gas and having to wait until your turbo spools.

angry eh? LOL, put your foot on brake and gas at the same time. balance it to where your car is moving steadily and boosting. when ready, let go of brake and keep gas foot floored. practice it until you found a spot to where your car does best
