A 200HP BRZ, FR-S, 86 or whatever the hell they rename them isn't going to be much fun either, those things are dog slow. Focus ST/Fiesta ST for less money and more fun.

That platform as a whole lends itself better to more power, in fact the car is begging for more should you decide to mod down the road. When you start to go grossly over 300 hp on a FWD car it gets very torquesteery.

Except the CTR will run circles around a GT86/BRZ, so will the new Miata.

The CTR might be fun when your going but second gear corners and power slides aren't happening and that's a lot of the fun aspects of a street car especially in the 300 hp segment

I definitely agree the brzfrs86s are underpowered from the factory but that last part seems like a bit of a stretch.. lol

my 360ish fwhp civic barely makes any torque

agreed on the general premise... espeicially in the type R's case which sounds like it'll make peak tq at 2500 rpms so. Any more power than that does seem excessive for FWD

Hey, that post I replied to said he wanted to save money, just thought I'd give the options

All BS aside, that Brz/FRS is a dog for what it costs. In the 27K range, there are too many other cars to purchase before ever looking at one of those.

I agree. Haha why buy a RWD 200 hp car every high schooler has when you can get the AWD WRX 276hp for the same price?
