Unhappy Ets exhaust too loud

So long story short I'm new to modding and ordered a full ETS turbo back. Open dump do, race test pipe and V2. Its too loud for where I live in Edmonton, I already got a ticket from the shop coming home and never expected my Evo to be this loud. I like a nice deep exhaust that's loud but its absolutely obnoxious. So now I'm stuck trying to decided what part is adding the MOST noise and switching it out. If someone can tell me if changing to a recirc DP is going to make any difference in sound? I would prefer to keep my V2 on but would change my test to a HFC. Some resonators maybe?

I totally understand. I started with an ets v2 extreme, stock downpipe, and a test pipe. After 6 months of wearing ear plugs most days and other passengers wearing them as well I decided to switch to a regular v2. I found the v2 much more deep sounding, not as ****ty sounding from a hill start etc. But the v2 still droned to hell on the highway. I emailed ets and they sent me a vibrant 3 inch resonator for like 80 bucks. I paid an exhaust shop 50 bucks to weld it in toward the back of the mid pipe. All highway drone is gone, around town there is a bit of drone but it's much more tolerable. I'd definitely go this route.

I love loud cars.

Where I live though, I drive much slower the louder the exhaust because of population density and cops. So I stayed with stock even though I have a 3" MAP exhaust sitting in the garage. Also, I swear I lost some hearing from over a decade of running a Mazda Comp exhaust on my Miata.

I installed an ETS recirc downpipe last weekend from the stock downpipe and noticed that during cruising speed it was actually quieter, but during WOT it got a little louder, not by much though.
Current setup is Ets recirc dp, race testpipe and the v2 exhaust.

The down pipe does not effect sounds when cruising. The wastegate is only open when you are at WOT, and the turbo is fully in boost.

I would suggest switching thee axle back section for an ETS quiet exhaust, and also add a resonator or mini muffler in the mid pipe before it bends around the rear diff. This will quiet it down a decent amount.

A mini muffler should definitely tone it down. Went from an AMS HFC to a UR mini muffler and noticed a decrease in cabin drone at highway speeds.
